golf gti Y reg. The boot lock doesnt work, ?

The boot lock dosnt work, when you put the key in and turn it until you feel the click, the click isnt there. The key just keeps turning. You can also open the car doors with the fob, but that dosnt work with the boot. Please help, the push chair is abit squashed on the back seat. Hxx
