How can i fix my Epson Stylus DX8400 from saying repair service required?

Every time a print something my Epson Stylus DX8400 comes up saying it need a service repair and I have to close the wording box everytime.

Sounds as if it needs the ink pads in the base changing. (Or wash them out and dry them before replacing them - very messy!!!).
Then use SSC Service Utility to reset the counter.
