Miele KFN8452SD Fridge Freezer (4 years old) - freezes food in the fridge a?

Miele KFN8452SD Fridge Freezer (4 years old) - freezes food in the fridge area.
Miele customer service wants £111 in VAT for engineer to come out (parts not inc).
I've read many cases online that this problem might be caused by evaporator sensor - possible part number 7323301 (£41 in VAT and postage)
I've had a good look behind the light housing where this part is said to exist but can see it - there is however plastic panel with an unusual looking screw fitting.
Can any tell me whether I'm going down the right line and how difficult this is to fit?
Thank you.

Yes Miele sent out this service company who service the london area www.agsrefrigeration.co.uk. to fix ours when we had a similar fault.

Yes it will be this sensor. It attaches to the evaporator(the plate at the back which gets cold). I think this model has a plastic bracket which holds the sensor in place with 1 screw.
It's easy to fit, take the old one out, push it through the rear hole, cut off the sensor part & join the new one to it with the connector supplied. Make sure the rear hole where the cable goes through is sealed fully.
