Nissan Micra - trouble changing gear ?

Hi, For the last couple of days i am struggling to change gear on my mirca, when going into reverse it grinds but when trying to put it in any other gear it is very stiff, my foot is as flat as it could be on the clutch but i have to try a couple of times to get it in any gear - help i really have no luck with cars only had this r reg thing 4 months !

Not TOO sure but when cars don't want to go into reverse, you need to put the handbrake on (if you're on a slope), let go of the clutch then push it all the way down in one fluent motion, while staying in neautral. Then try going to reverse, should do it just fine. Stiff gears are probably from just dirt and dust building up in the mech. Just take the rubber flap thingy off and clean underneath. Hope this helps!

if it goes into gear ok with engine off, then it sounds like clutch not clearing. not sure of your model but could want bleeding or cable adjusting.
