Rode to work in AM. Wouldn't start in PM. Has fuel. New plug wires. New plugs. Checked all grounds & leads. No loose wires. turns over. Battery checked and is good and fully charged Checked coil with ign on got 10.35v versus 11.5 book says (plus/minus .5). Is coil the problem? Spark plug wires not getting wire to plugs. Did test? help.

Why do you suspect the coil? was the bike wet? did you remove the fuel pipe from the carb to see fuel flowing out? assuming no-one's messed with your bike, did you test the coil primary & secondary windings with a meter? not sure what your figures should be but for example on earlier iron head Harleys the primary resistance figure is 4.7-5.7 ohms & the secondary resistance 16-20 kilo ohms.
