Water keeps filling into my Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 WMA31?

Water keeps filling into the drum of my Hotpoint Aquarius 1100 WMA31 after washes i did a search on Google and a few suggestions came about that it was the inlet valve. This arose out of me doing diy on the machine, it wasn't draining so i disconnected the two pipes from the back and unscrewed the back plate, unblocked it, then reconnected it. Ever since then this problem has been happening every day and slowly is getting worse - could i have damaged something or damaged some circuitry, other than that it works fine, temp, washing, draining.

Can you help

Thanks

The same thing happened to mine after removing the inlet hose to clean it. I managed to reset the inlet valve simply by selecting programme A, (the hottest wash) from the dial. This caused the hot valve to snap closed again.

Sounds like the inlet valve is not functioning correctly. Could be debri in the valve or it has come to the end of its life. Replacements should be easy enough to come by. Find out first if it is hot or cold water leaking through to the drum. Please remove from the mains before attempting this.
