no spark?

just baught a 125 marauder it has no spark at the plug turns over with good compression any ideas..

could be many things, coil,generator,wiring,switchgear etc. Remove sparkplug then remove cap from lead & hold (with dry rag or glove) end of lead about 5mm away from cylinder head then crank over engine as if to start, if you have a spark it means you have a duff plug.
