can i replace a citroen c5 brain with a second hand one?

I have been told that my 2003 citroen c5 2.0 hdi needs the brain replaced and was wondering if it is possible to replace it with a second hand one which has it's original ignition, transponder, door locks with it.Would appreciate any help as i don't want to buy it if it's no good to me. I hope i have done this right as it is my first time on this site cheers

yes as far as I know.I think it will still have to go onto a diagnostics machine tho to recalibrate the ecu and maybe the bsi.Pose your question on the citroen c5 forum at
www.citroen-owners-club.co.uk
they are very helpful on questions on c5's
