Removing glass lid from Leisure Cookmaster?
We've just installed a new cooker BUT didn't leave enough clearance on either side to put tiles (the cooker is in a hollowed-out fireplace). If we could remove the glass lid, all would be well, but we know that there is an automatic shut off linked to the lid. Is there any way around this?
Basically, we just want to be able to tile the inside of the alcove and that darn lid is in the way! There's about 1mm clearance either side of the lid, so we have no other viable options for protecting the alcove from spatters and stains. Plus, I was never too keen on the glass lid anyway!
