Remote control LED light not coming on?

My alarm went off when I opened the car door. I immediately closed the door but the central locking wouldn't work. Everytime I opened the door the same thing happened as I couldn't unlock the door with the remote control. I put a new battery in the remote but no LED light came on. It is a scorpian alarm. Can anyone help please? For some time now I have not been able to unlock my car using the remote, had to use the key but until recently, the alarm worked fine. I have temporarily disarmed the alarm so I can use my car. Thanks. Barbara

Received my repaired fob a couple of weeks ago and although the LED light now works fine which turns the alarm off and on and locks the central locking, it still doesn't unlock my car doors. I think I have to stand near the car to set it or something - any advice?

Hi Steve
I emailed Tech-Tronics at the weekend and Paul was most helpful. He confirmed that Scorpian alarms are indeed obsolute but asked me to send the fob to him and he would see if he could repair it for me. I have it ready to post and will update you in a week or so.

Many thanks Steve. I will give that number a ring.
Will post the outcome. May take some time to get back to you as if I do manage to get a new fob will have to connect the alarm etc again. I won't forget though.

Hello,

The fob may need repairing/replacing. Unfortunately a lot of the Scorpion stuff is obsolete now and unreplaceable. Contact Tech-Tronics 0161 869 0050, they specialise in fobs and may be able to help.

Thanks

Steve
