MY car over heated and broke down on motorway
i have a mk 2 punto. there was water in the radiator, and wasnt any leaks. head gasket was ok to. got the car towed home, but now it wont start. there is a good spark coming from plugs so cant be that. fuel seems to be getting through. so is there any thing else i should try.?

i brought a new thermo & fitted it a few days before, although i did have a core plug leak by the water pump, but i replaced this also. i made sure there wasnt an air lock in the system when i topped it back up with water.there does not seem to be any water in the oil when i checked , but i am going to change the water pump, timing belt, and while im at it the head gasket just in case.
