In the 'Use and Installation Instructions' there is a section 'Something wrong'. The problem, 'Timer display correct but appliance will not operate', returns a check of 'there is a sefety device'.
This safety device is found when you remove the screws securing the oven from the larder unit. Ease the oven out onto a secure standing.I used my B&D workmate to rest the oven on a secure surface. You should switch off the electric supply. If you then remove the top cover you will find a red reset button(called a clickfix?). If, when pressing this, there is resistance it suggest that this has tripped due to an overheating issue. You can then re-connect the power supply and switch the grill on. If this ignites you are part way there. Now to examine what is the cause? Disconnect the power supply and remove the back cover. Re-connect the power supply. Switch the grill on again. Does the fan operate? If not switch the grill off and the power supply. Remove the fan and check the free movement. I removed the red end cap and greased it. At the other end I used some WD40 and subsequently some 3-in-1 oil. Then using a 2 cable electric lead and connectors tested the movement. When I was happy that all was well I re-inserted the fan. Switched on the power supply and the grill. If the fan started I was satisfied that this was the cause. If that does not happen then somebody else needs to go a step further. Hope this helps. To confirm I did not touch the gas supply!
