Peugeot Boxer heater fan not working?

My 2002 Boxer 2.8HDI van's heater fan has packed up. The fuse is ok and I'm afraid I might have to go digging behind the dash. Anyone got any ideas or experience to share please?

check the heater resistor, quite easy to access from ns above the footwell, large 4 pin connector look out for burnt out terminals
