how can i mend my dyson dc 07?

My Dyson DC07 (purple & green- lots of cyclones) no longer works properly. It appears to be clear all through the suction route and I have washed the filter as instructed. The cyclones do not work as they used to and the dust etc all gathers at the back of the drum. It no longer `attaches itself to the carpet as you vacuum. It is 2 years old. Any ideas?

I also had loss of suction on a DC07 (blue). As with Steve. Colin and Chris, clearing the cyclones solved the problem. Just took the top off (3 screws) and probed with a thin stick to clear them.

I had the same problem, loss of suction. Tried cleaning filter but still weak. Took screws out of syclone top, removed it cleaned holes with a length of plastic and then gave the whole syclone assembly a bath! some jets still blocked as water wouldn't come out. re cleaned them and it's fine now. ps let it dry out thoroughly before use.

I have got the motor out of mine and have a new one on order. When I have fitted it and it works I will put full instructions on here - here's hoping

I had exactly that problem. What i found was if you turn the rocket section upside down you will see it has a tapered tube that goes into the clear bucket. Look in the tapered tube, and mine was ABSOLUTELY clogged with dust and debris. It took me an hour with a knitting needle or something similar to clear it. As new when done.

I found the cyclone had clogged up with dust - lots of it, cleared and works well through the extension pipe. Still wasn't picking up through brush bit. Found the internal hose from the brush roller housing split -repaired with tape-worked.
