Can one replace defective electronic motherboard on Indesit W123(UK) washin?

Machine has begun to behave erratically inasmuch as "instructions" from the motherboard are not being translated to correct actions of the rotating drum for both washing and spinning modes.

Fault has apparently been traced to motherboard. Is it practical to obtain/programme a new motherboard and what pitfalls are there even if theoretically possible?

It's a straightforward swop. Unplug old one, plug in new one. We stock them at £39.90+vat plus postage of £5+vat. Go to our site at www.emwelec.co.uk and put W123 in the search box. If the module does not correct the fault you can return it for a refund less our handling charge of £9+vat. Or call us on 0115 9652118 Monday. Tony EMW Electronics
