I have a 05 MkV Golf 2.0TDI and if it is left for any length of time the battery will drain itself. It has been to the dealer and according to the diagnostic test they cannot find a problem, battery is good also. It does have an aftermarket handsfree kit but once the key is out of the ignition it is supposed to shut down. Has anyone had simmilar problems?

When did the problem start- if it was after the fitment of the hands free kit then it must be that.
Otherwise fit a voltmeter between the battery and the battery terminal
Take clock fuse and radio fuse (permanent feeds) out and with ignition off take out fuse till there a zero reading. this way you will be able to establish what on a specific circuit is drawing current
