Optima compact tamper fault?

I had an Optima compact that kept giving a tamper fault. I checked the pir's and magnetic contacts and all wiring seemed fine. Kept on happening so put tamper links in panel to eliminate but kept on giving intermitent tamper alarms. Deciced it must be panel so bought same panel latest model G4. Two weeks in and the panel with tamper circuits live gave false alarm yesterday in day mode! Any idea?

this makes me smile, Chris if you are capable of checking the wiring on the contacts, which are in series, i assume you used a mutimeter, er what is that, of course you didnt you used your eyes,
Anyway sarcasm over, If you knew how to use a multi-meter which you dont, because if you did, you would have mentioned it above. You would have found a floating voltage 0v on the return tamper of the bell box,
To Acorn, GTS and myself its an easy fix, but for you its just more cash having replaced the panel.
Rant over

a little knowlage,can be expensive,

It's the tamper return from your outside sounder, that's the problem, it wasn't the panel. You're going to have to spend again I'm afraid.
