beko wm5120w keeps tripping rcd ! help !!?

Hello, I wonder if anyone can help me quickly with a problem on my BEKO WM5120W washing machine.

When the power is switched on, the lights come on and the unit begins to power up, 3 seconds later the RCD in the consumer unit trips.
Always the same time delay each time before it trips, which is around 3 seconds after power is turned on.
The machine is only 2 years old.

Has anyone had the same problem ?

Sam, Does this mean the motor has an earth fault somewhere ? shorted windings?
The motor still turns when the earth wire is disconnected.

I tested continuity between motor terminals and the earth ( motor casing ) and it shows infinite resistance on the meter. I assumed an earth fault on the windings or motor would show on the resistance meter ?

Hi Sam, thanks for the quick reply !
I disconnected the motor earth wire, which is bolted to the casing ( which also holds the multi-plug ) and the machine runs, does not trip the rcd.
What should I do now?

I traced the earth wire and cleaned each connector in turn, including the motor earth strap.
Tried again with the earth wire connected, and trips the RCD again

What you reckon ?

hi i need to know if you are hand with electricity as the only way you can test your machine is by removing some earth cables if you are not please do not do anything that i am going to say
what you can do tilt machine at a fourty five degree angle look for the motor you will see an earth cable
take off test machine byturning it on
the motor is fitted to a plastic drum it will not leak any volts to trip if it trips you will have to do the same to the heater element let me know if this works and i will tell you wat you need to replace
