Release cable for people lounger recliner?

I have a People Lounger sectional with two recliners built in. The left release handle has broken. How do I remove the bracket that holds it in place and the cable to replace the cable. Anyone out there have any experience in this?

Turn the recliner upside down. There are two bolts through from the inside that hold the arm to the frame. I think they are 7/16' by about two inches long. There are two metal strips that are held in place with wood screws which are located near the rear corner that hold the arm to the frame. After removing these screws the arm is free and you have complete access to the cable.I found several sources for the cable on the internet. I searched with google for "peoplelounger cable release. ebay.com and buycheapr.com were two sources. All sources sold for 24.99.
