How do I synchronize the chiming to the time of the clock?

I have a Hamilton two jewel jn adjusted 340-020 mantel clock,made in "74". I would like to know how to synchronize the chiming of the clock with the time. I would also like to know how to maintain and care for this clock. Please advise? Respectfully Jim.
