my abs fault light keeps coming on?(picasso 1.6 petrol 2002)?

my abs fault light keeps coming on and off started a couple of days ago, i have changed my brake pads but its still keeps happening and when its does go off my brake pedal bounces up and down as the abs tries to kick in. Any ideas?

Have a look at the phonic sensor ring on the drive shaft. I have seen a few broken ones. If you turn the steering to full lock left or right then look where the drive shaft goes into the hub you will see what looks like a cog. Check to see if its loose. Both sides.Hope this helps.

The ABS computer should have the answer. The light coming on should set a fault code. Codes need reading and maybe a look at live data. As the pedal is pumping its my guess that its seeing a stationary wheel. This may be just a build up of brake pad dust on the wheel speed sensor.
