what is your fault,as adjuster only alters pedal height [or is this your problem?] one common fault is for operating lever to break where it fits to withdrawal shaft-on top of g/box.

If you look up under the dash,there should be a 6mm allen key bolt on the clutch pedal.
Adjust this clockwise,i would advise you to adjust it with 1/4 of a turn at a time.
The clutch pedal should be no higher than the brake pedal and it should have some free play.
