Timing belt renewal interval?

54 reg focus 1.8 tdci 100bhp, 65000 miles.
what mileage should the timing belt be replaced, i have been told 100,000 miles but my haynes manual states it should be done every 37000. thanks

I'd go with the Ford recommendation.

ford recommends 100,000 miles or 10 years, but this depends how the car has been used and driven. if it has been well serviced. i would be changing the timing belt now.
