replace electrical cord?

i have a Rowenta Ptofessional steam iron model#DX8600 and it turns off at times then when I move the cord around it eventually makes contact and comes back on so I don't stand it on it's end otherwise I have to repeat the process.

The Rowenta.com website has a list of authorized repair companies. If the iron is under warranty, there are specific instructions. If not, it can still be repaired. Follow those instructions.

It is worth every penny to have the irons or steams which are manufacturered in Germany repaired. Insurance may cover the cost for new purchase or repair....check your policy. Many of the Credit Card companies have a replacement policy....dig out your receipt and call the CC company to see.

This is a little work....so worth it for a Rowenta product!

I have given up attempting to repair irons. They tend to design and make them so that they are impossible to repair - I think it's a safety thing.

If you can get to the "tails" of the power cord inside the iron then it will be relatively easy to put in a new cord.

Consider a new iron...

Good luck...
