Peugeot 206 radio/clock display unit?

Can anyone tell me how to remove the dasboard covering of my 2003 Peugeot 206 SW radio/clock display unit to replace the backlight bulbs please. This seems to be a complete unit that is part of and surrounds the big red hazard warning light button

Thanks,

Peter

Hi have just had to replace a bulb in this unit .
you just have to pull the cover off. you dont need any tools just strong fingers . It snaps back in place easily too.

Hi Ed, Where was your loose connection? I've checked the fuses and the fuse is fine but all of my lights went out together.

Thanks

you just lift it off (no screws) then under the bottom of your display you will find 2 star drive screws ......

I sell a guide on ebay showing the step by step repair with lots of photos. I used some tricks that make it much easier to fix. search for PPT30 DIYREPAIR. I don't make major money on these, just covers my effort in writing it all up!

Cheers

mate, i had the same problem for a while!! its soo simple though (luckily!)
i know it sounds dodgey but just hold the lip of the cover (the lip that goes over the screen) and pull it up. The hazzard button is actually part of the cover itself, it just has a few wires attached to it, nothing dramatic!
the cover that goes over the screen is honestly the easy part! just pull it up an out, it takes litterally seconds! i know that it looks like its attached to everything but its not. have fun!

P.S. i dont meen to add more to your problems but r u sure its the bulbs that need changing coz it might be a loose connection. Sounds weired that all the bulbs have gone in 1! Im talking from experiance coz my display blacked out for a while an i thought it was the bulbs too (hence why i know how to remove the cover!) but it turned out to be a loose connection....sorry matey, i dont know how that one works! got a friend to do it for me......hopefully it is just your bulbs though!

Good luck!
Ed
