just brought repossesed house that has a optima xs alarm panel, but i dont know the code previously used, can i change / enter a new code so i can use it, if so how.

2 options. The expensive option is to find out who fitted the alarm and ask them to reset it using a master code or the cheaper 1 is to purchase a new contro; panel (£40 - £80) and fit it yourself. There may be a lot of wires but it is really quite easy but remember to switch the power off at fusebox. When you disconnect some of the wires the sounder will go off but when connected back up you can disarm it. Full instructions will be supplied along with codes.
