Oh; Hickmans ans. is perfect;Mine just covers the internal wiring change necessary from the single heater to the double heater element units/ which requires the feeds to be located on the right side.

The part for the heater is now a double element replacement GEH WR51X10101; It comes with a splice wire/ I dont like splicing wires in this location;& you dont have to; so- gently remove the Blue wire on the left /up to the top & reroute it from the top down ON the right side, where it plugs into the double heater electrical connections.I also gently pushed the compressor feed tube back,so the deeper double heater unit fits in.Do this with extra care, then I used a longer screw on the left bracket. It takes forever to get this defrosted so I borrowed the wifes clothing steamer & steamed it out abit. Other then defrosting this is pretty quick fix.

Same problem...neither freezer nor refrigerator is cooling as it used to...same model...what was the problem?

I need to add to this, they could have possibly used part number 2071523 in your fridge. It is the single heater. You will need to pull yours to find out which one they used.

The most likely culprit is your defrost heater, it is located in the freezer behind the panel. You will need to remove two hex screws one on the bottom left one about a foot up on the right, and remove the two philips head screws just under the ice maker. You will find the heater at the bottom of the unit held in place by two philips screws. You can find the part at most local appliance warehouses or I get mine from appliancepartspros.com, it is part number WR51X442… Hope this helps…
