leyland daf ?

I have a leyland daf k reg. we have just replaced the clutch and now have a horrid gridding noice when pulling away in 2nd gear with or with out weight on. we have replaced the universal joint barring and its made no change.
Any help would be fantastic?

had release bearing broken up, if so did you remove all debris [ball bearings] from flywheel/bell housing , is grinding only in 2nd what happens if you set off in 1st? and is center bearing ok -?

hard to say with out hearing the noise...if all the universal joints and centre bearings are ok,,,is the clutch installed correctly ??? can only imagine you have damaged something whilst doing the clutch or when removing refitting the gearbox /prop
