How to change the Texecom battery in a veritas alarm system?

Hi everyone.

My house alarm is going off at random, both when it is activated at night and when it is not activated during the day. The tamper flash is flashing. The alarm was fitted in 2004. The backup battery has never been changed so I assume it is that.

What is the procedure for changing the battery? I know the code therefore a full reset will not be required.

Thanks in advance.

We changed the battery. The tamper light and no 6 were both on. I entered the date and time, this cleared the tamper light. No 6 is still on, we are unable to arm the system. I worked out that the engineers code is 1 2 3 4 in the process of clearing the tamper mode. How can I clear No 6 and get the system to work again.
Your advice will be appreciated.
Kind regards, Louise

Where does a full reset come into the equation?

Oh you know it will not need a full reset do you.
Looked thru the programming?
Have the engineers code?

carry on, i`ll wait till you ask the next question without doing a search
