No ringing tone from synergy 2110 handset. Help!?

Synergy 2110 handset. No ringing tone can be heard when someone dials in. Phone functions properly otherwise.

To adjust the handset ringer volume follow this procedure:
Press Options
Press 3
then press either 0, 1, 2, or 3 for volume level where 0 is off and 3 is high.
Press Options to finish
You should hear a confirmation tone.
