Weed eater just won't start?

Hi, I've had this weedeater for quite some time and now it doesn't want to start. I've changed the spark plug, used a new gas and oil mixture and sprayed some automotive carberator cleaner to make sure things are loose. Still almost nothing. Notice "almost". Just when I'm about ready to quit it will sputter a few times (I've got it I think!) and then it again goes silent. Any ideas?

Carbon build up, possibly on the piston rings causing you
low compression. You should try some liquid wrench into the
spark plug hole to soak and hopefully free them up.
