Power Devil mitre saw - blade not engaging?

The motor runs OK but the blade just freewheels. I've tried tightening the locking nut but the blade just spins freely. Is there a clutch on these things?

I had the same problem today, on dismantling i found the gear cog had sheared away, i am now looking for a replacement.

the gear that drives the blade is worn .as i took one asunder this morning and found this ,the saw is now only scrap as you cant replace this gear
