How can I install a Wireless Adapter into my Advent 7012?

I really need explicit instructions plus diagrams so that I do not damage any other parts.

the advent 7012 does not have PCMCIA. so your best bet, for the least hassle and chance of damaging internnal ribbons etc. when you put in the ariels, which is the risky part, is to use a usb dongle.

Remove keyboard (three small clips at front of keyboard). Card slot is located under metal plate at left hand side. Fit wireless card. NOTE: advent 7011/12 does not come with internal antennae, you can fit mini antennae either side of card, 2 are recommended or go for full size antennae which fit behind screen and require quite a bit of dismantling, but gives a better signal, again use 2.

If your laptop has a USB port, you could buy a wifi dongle.
That means you could use your card port for something else.

Same as previous answer: install drivers, insert dongle, connect

Buy PCMCIA type card. Insert CD that comes with card into CD drive. Insert PCMCIA card into slot on left side of laptop gold edged connector upwards. Follow on screen instructions. Thats the basic way but it changes slightly for each brand of wireless cards but it should come with step by step instructions anyway.
