Mercedes Benz 814D Vario rear brake pads ?

Trying to fit new rear pads to my 2000 Vario. it has the air handbrake. The Capliper has two pistons. Can't get lower piston to retract to allow new pads to fit in. Top piston ok but the bottom one is different. Its the one that works with the air handbrake. Have tried disconectin air. Looks like a piston within a piston? The piston moves out ok to its last postion so I can refit old pads but will not retract to allow new ones Even lossend off bleed to see if that helped.

Any one know??

yes they are a bit tricky i use two pry bars an a 8 mm allen key that ive cut down remove the two filler caps for the fluid relase the hand brake remove the two 10mm an anti rattle sping on the caliper then leaver pads out bit tricky then leaver the on piston back then jam the bar on it so it carnt come back out then wind in the other with the allan key while apply pressure to the key with another pry bar you will feel the gear takes time but works

lower piston needs to be wound back,8mm allen key [you may need to reduce the short side of allen key to fit] with allen key in piston, you may need to carefully push piston back whilst turning c/wise [i think] to engage windback mechanism. hope it helps.
