Hi i have just had the same with our machine .It turned out to be the circuit board . (how to fix it )
1st turn off the electric then take the back off , in side the machne to the bottom left side of the drum you will find a bunch of wires going to the controlbox .
un fasten the box then pull off the 3 multy plugs ( note the plug positions )then take the circuit board out of the cover . examin the back this is where you should see the solder joints , you should see 1 of the joints has been arking and burnt the circuit board this will be 1 of the joints to a relay. if you are good at soldering clean the board & solder the joint ( or seek help ) after this is done re fit all the parts . an all should be working fine ours was i guegg it took me 45 mins to do the whole job as i have never done thgis before . good luck .

..... may sound obvious but.... check brushes first.... worn brushes will still allow the washing machine to perform the basic wash cycle, however, when it attempts to spin, the increase of power demanded cannot be matched by the brushes which may only be partially touching the armature...... (internal part of motor)

Hope this helps
