JCB PHT 24 petrol hedge trimmer loss of drive?

I think the clutch on my JCB PHT 24 petrol hedge trimmer is failing. When I try to cut anything above the size of a twig the blades jam although the motor is still running.
I'm a mechanic by traid and would like some advice on how to access the clutch.

Thanks
Joe

Mine has done the same. Its been used probably half a dozen times and is like brand new and unfortunately now out of warranty. The clutch seems to have disintegrated inside the trimmer. Have looked everywhere trying to get spares but looks like there's no chance

I have exactly the same problem. I've stripped it down and the only clutch I can see is the centrifugal drive clutch and this doesn't appear to have any adjustment so I think I'm going to go out and buy a Stihl.....! It's A shame though because the JCB hedge trimmer is well made and starts very well.
