ABS Sensor Ring removal - Renault Megane Coupe 2.0 16v ('96)?

Just got some new EBC Rear Brake Discs (GD571's) for my Renault Megane Coupe 2.0 16v ('96), after removing the old standard ones noticed that they have an ABS Sensor Ring attatched and the new EBC ones don't.

Any body clue me in as to how to get the bleeding thing off without damaging it, as Renault say they can't sell the rings and the mechanics i've asked say they don't want to try!

Thanks.

You can sometimes remove them by heating the ring up gently with a small blow torch. This will make the metal ring expand and it is then easier to try and prise them off. They are pretty fragile, though,so care is needed!.

Incidently, there are new discs with the rings and wheel bearings already assembled which are quite expensive, but make the job of changing the discs so much easier.

Hope this helps,and good luck!.
