fault - f-05?

my washing indesit machine we125 evolution 1200 keeps going through the normal wash cycle but when it comes to actually draining & spinning it just stops, leaving me with a drum full of water. does any one know how to fix this or have any idea how much it will cost to fix as i'm not sure weather or not to just but a new machine or not!?!?

Had the same error code. Took the bottom front cover off, opened the black circular seal on the pump on the right hand side, cleared out 51 pence worth of change and hey presto!

:)

Thanks everyone, took off the front as directed and drained the water off and found money and a piece of material stuck in there. Bit of a wet floor but apart from that really easy. Didn't need to take the top off, just cleared the pump and it worked

I had the same fault code, F -05 and last week called out the washing machine repair man, cost me £45 and he found 2 small stones in the pump. Machine did the dame thing today, and so I looked for what the code actually meant. Read the other answers to this question, and did what was suggested. Turned the machine off, and tipped it backwards with a bowl underneath. Took the front bottom strip off, there are three gaps at the top where you can lever it off from. Turned the black plastic screw at the front whilst the water came out, and then out with the water came some small sticks, (obviously from small boys pockets), stuck my fingers in and pulled out all the bits of sticks. Screwed it back up and ran a spin and empty cycle. Still hadn't worked, but when I repeated it there were more bits of sticks, which I pulled out (had to use tweezers to get them all out having spun the insides with my fingers) and then machine emptied and finished fine. Would definately recommend anyone trying it, very simple, not dangerous, and you are not near any electonics etc.

well... it didn't work, but we did save the sheets from sitting in a washing machine full of water for a whole weekend. have to call the professionals after al that.

we followed the instructions given by Barn in September and we were able to remove the lid of the machine by unscrewing two screws at the back of the machine. Once inside we found the round component that has a long thin tube attached to it. we removed the tube and blew through the tube and heard bubbles. we then blew into the end of the round component before reattaching the long thin tube. after that we pulled the machine forward enough to tip it back and uncover the front strip at the bottom of the washer. we unscrewed the pump and drained all the water from the drum. once the water was drained and the power was off, we were able to open the door to retrieve the laundry inside. we have since then put a test load in to see if it works and so far so good. it's another 50 minutes before the spin cycle - if i don't write back you can assume that it worked and then go ahead and try for yourself. by the way, it's just two girls in our flat and we did this ourselves - just to show how it is possible to do it yourself. :) we are very proud.

the code F05 means pressure switch jammed on full or your pump is blocked.. so for the pressure switch UNPLUG THE MACHINE ........ remove the lid look on the top edge around the cabinet for a round component with a small tube attached take the tube off and blow down it if you here bubbles its clear then tap the pressure switch not to hard blow into the little spout on the pressure switch not to hard if it clicks once when you blow into it it should click when you remove your lips if it does this thats ok as for your pump on the front at the bottom theres a plastic removeable strip take that off then pull the washer forward so you can tip the washer back, rest the back edge on the wall or work top, on the front bottom right corner theres a cap put a bowl under that and slowly unscrew it if its jammed just keep turning back and forth until it frees off in there is your pump so check its clear then reassemble
