honda cbr 125 ?

when it eventually starts the thing revs its head off like the choke is jammed on or the air screw is turned in far to much the bike will not idle at a normal speed always sits at 5000rpm or higher can not sus the problem any ideas ?

check the carb is not sucking in air,there are two clamps at the rubber joint,one at carb end and one at cylinder head end.

cheers mate a stripped it this afternoon its actually ma mates bike av got a 600 fazer a stripped it as a said found a burts vacume pipe from the tank tae the inlet so changed that n the float bowl was full a crap tae sorted n running fine now thanks anaway

Have you been tampering with it or did it just start doing it of it's own accord,check for free-play on the twistgrip you should have some movement before you feel the throttle on,adjust it at the cable end on the twistgrip,if you have had the tank off or messed about the cable may be mis-routed,start it and move the bars from lock to lock if it runs faster or slower your cable is in the wrong position.
