lack of power?

renault laguna 1.9dci, had an overheating problem, changed the head used all new gaskets belts etc, when rebuilt the car starts 1st time ticks over and drives but doesn't have the power it had before it was pampered. ????. Goes just feels like no turbo so doesn't have get up no go as it got up n went, any ideas on whats wrong and how to fix, even bought a can clip which found some faults but nothing that would cause the problem.

Mine did this -it was the turbo intercooler had a hole in it,lie under car with tray removed -intercooler is behind the radiator-look for damage. Also MAF sensor is a possible culprit here, basically anything on the way to the turbo -intercooler/pipes/airfilter/MAF sensor.Mine showed fuel injection fault on the display but it was the intercooler! leave a message (as if adding an answer) if i can help further
