Sorted!. Evidently this is a common problem. There is a cable thet runs behind the front rhs inner wheel arch that gets trapped between the arch & body work. Due to vibration the cable gets rubbed until it breaks. I soldered a new piece of cable in & put electrical tape around the joints & the cable housing to try and reduce the friction.
