I put a disc in & it is recognised but does not play.

If it recognise the DVD, then it's working correctly.

If it don't play, the common causes are:

Autoplay is disabled.
- Enable autoplay for that drive.

The application needed to play the DVD is not available or it's installation is broken.
- Reinstall the player.

A needed driver can't be found.
- Find the needed driver and install it.
