control panel blinking i pressed reset but no change. what is wrong ? the system is 6 years old

What's "piles of crap" about the panel, it serves a purpose.

It's just doing its job, giving indication that there is a problem because the 'know it all' owners don't bother to HAVE it serviced, service themselves or perhaps, no, they don't READ the manual. The answer is there.

Hi People, yes your mains green light is flashing, This is because your battery needs to be replaced, As the Merecat would say Simples,
I go out to probably 3-5 of these fantastic pieces of electronic engineering a month, Well actually piles of crap, Sorry Texecom, but they are horrible, cheap and nasty,
So replace your battery, and providing its not been programmed for engineer reset on Tamper problem solved.

.... but there again £1 to a 1d (I'm old fashioned) you've never had it serviced and it has the original battery.

Guess what the problem is, it's in your manual that you thought you would never need.
