Is my Ravenheat boiler fan dead?

I have a Ravenheat RSF100E combi boiler, it has stopped firing up on both heating and hot water, If I give it a slap it fires, is this the fan that is playing up?

most likely the air pressure switch

what ravenheat boiler is it ? Is the pump and fan running ? If both are running sounds like your air switch is playing up .

Hi

I can't give you an answer alas but I am interested as I have a Ravenheat boiler with a problem. I used to get it work by switching it off and on - but that no longer works. Then by changing the water pressure I got it to re-boot for a short while - the rads get hot for about 10 mins then fade away. A corgi man (who installed it) changed a wire before Christmas - but it has not solved the problem which is getting worse. I have had the diaphram replaced in the past which was expensive and it worked for a couple of years - but is the worst it has ever been right now. I have had it for 7 years and it has never performed well - there have always been problems right from the start. The technical help line is helpful up to a point. I was wondering if you have been able to sort out your problem or if you can shed any light on mine. I realise that this not what you had hoped for - and hopefully someone will give you the answer you want.
