The drum on my tumble dryer will not turn. Have tried to make it start by turning the drum by hand with the power on, but nothing, all I hear is a ticking from the timer switch and the smell of the heater coming on, but no drum turning. I have already taken the dryer apart, removed the drum, inspected the bearing, belt, belt tensioner etc and all seems okay. Can any one help by suggesting what the problem could be, or have had a similar experience. Trying to avoid buying a new one as the present one is in excellent condition, apart from the drum not turning. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
