I am re fitting the utlity room and the white plastic overflow(?) pipe is in the way. The plumber who fitted it has it draining into the sink waste pipe, can I run the overflow(?) pipe through the outside wall and drain to ground? Or to a drain? Any specific dimensions I need to consder?

Hi yes it would. you could always put in a washing machine trap just for the condensate pipe

I will have a washing machine waste going into the sink waste pipe via a spigot(?), can I run the condensate pipe into another one of these? It would be below the sink level, would that cause a problem? sink waste going back up the condensate pipe?

its a condensate pipe and not an overflow its very important. you can run it into a mains drain or you can buy a small soakaway that you fill with limestone chippings. you must not let it drain to the ground.
your most important consideration must be frost protection so run it outside in 40mm pipe and protect it from freezing or your boiler will fail at the coldest time of the year. hope that helps
