I ued to have an internet explorer icon on my taskbar but has now gone. It does not appear to be in quick launch. How can I get shortcut back on my taskbar ?

1. Make sure that the quick launch is enabled.
Right click the tast bar, sellect "Tool bars" and check "Quick Launch".
If needed, expand it so that all of it's content is visible. You may need to unlock the task bar for that.

2. If there is no IE icon present.
Take a short cut to IE from somewhere. Right click and drag it to the quick launch. Sellect "Copy here"
You now have a new IE icon in your quick launch.
