my oven will not work and i presume its because the timer isnt set, iv tried all sorts and just cant work out how to set it.

It may be that the timer is already set and that's why the oven isn't working...

Cycle the power off and on again so the clock flashes
Depress and hold in buttons 2&3 from the left.
Use the buttons on the right to set the time - any time will do.
