Please make sure the machine is unplugged before doing this.On the rear of the machine at the bottom theres a small panel held on by 2 or 4 screws remove them and unclip the panel then look through the hole and you will see a black hose thats concertinaned. One end of this hose is connected to the pump the other end is connected via a jubilee clip to the base of the tub unscrew this clip to losen it then pull it down. (watch for water even if the washer looks empty) in the end of the hose you will find a plastic basket which is the filter some times theres a plastic ball in it that must kept and put back on the refit section.... remove the basket by pulling it up out of the hose.. Clean it under a tap and then refit it there is a square cut in the base of the basket so it will only go back in one way once you have done this refit the hose to the base of the tub look for the tab of rubber with a slot cut in it that must be lined up with the plastic tab on the base of the tub retighten the jubilee clip and refit the plastic cover then test for leaks..
