Flymo xl500. Tipped over wrong way?

Flymo xl500 was knocked over and petrol spilled into air filter. Air filter now sodden. Will replacing air filter and drying machine out be enough or will there be other damage done?

That won't happen epark mowers, as the air filter is on the opposite side to the exhaust. As the mower has been tipped the "wrong way" ie filter side down, then replacing the air filter should be enough. Oil cannot have migrated into the exhaust as this was NOT the side that was tipped.

Check oil level, and replace air filter, machine is likely to smoke for a few minutes and oil may drip from exhaust till it clears itself. Be careful this oil may be hot - clean off hood when cool enough. Smoke should clear and no long term harm should result.
